Makayla Hawker

Makayla Hawker

I’m an occupational therapist with a passion for helping people live meaningful, independent lives. I take a strengths-based, client-centred approach—working alongside individuals to build on what they can do, overcome challenges, and create routines that support wellbeing. Whether I’m supporting someone with daily living skills, mental health, or community participation, I aim to empower every person I work with to achieve their goals in ways that feel right for them.

I use a client-centred, strengths-based approach that may include task-specific training, sensory strategies, environmental adaptations, psychoeducation, and cognitive or behavioural techniques to support meaningful participation and independence.
